1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, initiating an event, submitting contributions, purchasing a celebration plan, or accessing any part of the Joy Reveal service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy.

If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity (such as a Workspace Owner or Business Administrator), you represent that you have the full authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. The Joy Reveal Service

Joy Reveal provides digital milestone celebration experiences. Our platform allows hosts to organize group surprise celebrations, generate private contribution links, collect heartfelt multimedia wishes (photos, videos, audio notes, and text), and schedule synchronized unlocks at a chosen reveal moment.

3. Accounts & Workspaces

Account Types & Operating Models: Joy Reveal provides two distinct account structures tailored to different celebration needs:

• Personal Accounts: Designed for individuals and families celebrating milestones such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, and farewells. Personal accounts operate strictly on a one-time purchase model. Upon purchasing an event pass or package, the user receives a fixed allocation of events (celebration credits) that they must use to organize their celebrations. Personal accounts do not incur recurring fees or automatic subscription renewals.
• Business Workspaces: Designed for organizations, corporate teams, and HR departments to celebrate employee milestones, work anniversaries, and company recognition events. Business workspaces operate on a recurring subscription model with multi-seat employee administration, ongoing event allowances, and shared organization branding.

Account Responsibilities: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify Joy Reveal if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Event Creation & Media Contributions

Hosts can create celebration events and invite guests ("Contributors") via direct celebration link. Contributors may submit text greetings, photographs, recorded voice notes, and video clips within the allocated limits of the host's active celebration plan.

• Host Responsibility: The host is responsible for managing contributor invitations and monitoring the content assembled within their celebration event.
• Contributor Conduct: By uploading media to a Joy Reveal event, contributors confirm that they own the necessary rights to the media and consent to its inclusion in the celebration and Memory Movie.

5. Secret Mode & Reveal Timer

Joy Reveal implements specialized "Secret Mode" mechanics. Prior to the scheduled reveal date and time, the event remains locked and confidential from the intended recipient.

While Joy Reveal employs technical safeguards to restrict recipient access until the countdown concludes, hosts remain responsible for preserving confidentiality by not sharing preview or host links directly with the celebrated person prior to the reveal moment.

6. Intellectual Property & License

Your Content Remains Yours: You and your contributors retain complete ownership and all copyright rights to the photos, videos, audio recordings, and text messages uploaded to Joy Reveal. Joy Reveal does not claim ownership over any user-submitted celebration media.

Limited Service License: By submitting content, you grant Joy Reveal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, limited license solely to host, transcode, store, process, display, and compile your content for the sole purpose of operating the celebration experience and generating your Memory Movie.

7. Memory Movie Creation

Eligible plan tiers include automated compilation of celebration media into an exportable "Memory Movie" (available in 720p, 1080p Full HD, or 4K resolution depending on the plan purchased).

Memory Movie assembly relies on automated sequencing algorithms and licensed background audio tracks. You agree that background music provided by Joy Reveal is licensed solely for personal viewing and team recognition within the platform.

8. Billing, Plans, Cancellations & Strict No-Refund Policy

Merchant of Record: All digital plan purchases, event pass checkouts, and recurring workspace subscriptions are conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd). Paddle securely handles payment transactions, currency conversion, invoice and digital receipt generation, global tax compliance (including sales tax and VAT), and customer payment inquiries.

Plans & Account Structures:

• Personal Accounts (One-Time Purchases & Event Allocation): Purchases for Personal Accounts are strictly one-time payments. Upon purchasing a celebration plan or event pass, the user receives a fixed allocation of events (celebration credits) as defined by the purchased tier. The user must utilize these allocated events to host their celebrations. One-time personal purchases do not renew automatically, carry no recurring subscription charges, and do not expire prematurely, but cannot be transferred, exchanged, or refunded.
• Business Workspaces (Recurring Subscriptions): Business plans operate on a recurring monthly subscription basis. Subscriptions grant multi-seat employee administration, collaborative workspace management, and ongoing celebration allowances. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.

Subscription Cancellation & Workspace Employee Policy:

• Anytime Cancellation: Business workspace owners and administrators may cancel an active subscription at any time directly through the workspace billing dashboard.
• Continuation Until Subscription End Date: When a subscription is cancelled, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing cycle ("Subscription End Date"). The workspace remains active, and existing team members retain full access to active events, media libraries, and ongoing celebrations until this period concludes.
• Employee Addition Restriction Upon Cancellation: Immediately upon initiating cancellation, the workspace enters a pending-cancellation state where no additional employees or team members can be added to the workspace. Existing employees remain accessible until the subscription end date, but invitations and provisioning for new seats are permanently disabled unless the workspace is reactivated.

9. Media Retention, Storage & Deletion Policy

Following the scheduled reveal date, celebration media is retained for a designated period based on your plan tier (typically 30, 60, or 90 days, or extended for active subscription workspaces).

Hosts and recipients are strongly encouraged to download their high-resolution photos, greeting archives, and Memory Movie files prior to the expiration of the retention window. Joy Reveal reserves the right to archive or permanently purge media once the retention period lapses.

10. Acceptable Use Policy

When using Joy Reveal, you agree not to submit, host, or disseminate:

• Any defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, abusive, or hateful content;
• Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, or copyright of any party;
• Malicious code, spyware, viruses, or programs intended to disrupt platform operations;
• Unsolicited commercial advertisements, spam, or bulk invite solicitations.

Joy Reveal reserves the right to remove any content or suspend any event that violates this policy without prior notice or refund.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Joy Reveal service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive for 99.9% uptime, Joy Reveal does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free transmission.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Joy Reveal and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or emotional distress arising from event delays or technical disruptions.

12. Termination & Account Deletion

You may close your Joy Reveal account at any time through your account settings or by submitting a written request to support. Upon account termination:

• Celebration Media Files: All uploaded photographs, recorded video clips, audio voice notes, and compiled Memory Movies are permanently and irreversibly deleted from our active storage infrastructure and cannot be recovered or restored.
• Database Records & Logs: User account entries, event metadata, and transactional records are soft-deleted within our database, where they remain securely preserved strictly for audit trails, security forensics, fraud protection, and system logging purposes.

Account closure, voluntary event deletion, or business workspace subscription cancellation does not entitle you to any refund, partial credit, or monetary redemption for unused event allocations or remaining billing cycle intervals under our strict No-Refund Policy.
